Can Little Birds Remember?

Fly by my window
Sing a song to me, my bird
I'll breathe your every word
In the night lights, you will shine so white
And the poetry we share will slowly fill the air

Street sign oracles start to rearrange
'Cause magic lies within your almond eyes
I sometimes wished that the world would never change
But eternity is every moment, so I guess I'll let it slide

We are alive and beautiful
Harmonizing in the lull
When our season's gone
Would you just carry on?
Can little birds remember every song?

Blowing candles and fireworks in the rain
Can't justify the pain of my longing for belonging to you
You stole my breath a hundred times
And now I want yours too

By the time these polaroids start to fade away
Will broken hearts be ready to set sail?
With your tender touch and the things we said today
Forgettance is another subject that I'll never cease to fail

We are alive and beautiful
Harmonizing in the lull
When our season's gone
Would you just carry on?
Can little birds remember every song?
