Daffodils

The blue moon hangs above
It still lingers in my aching lungs
When my feet can't take me any further
I find myself standing by your side

And the fire still walks with me
You know I will always bring a pair of chairs

You can always
Remind me when
It drifts into the whirl in depth
Like bowed flowers by the water
I'll be there, swaying at our pace

A gold charm in the ash
Still dims in the fading light
At crossroads, the hermit met the beast
I find myself standing by your side

And the fire still walks with me
You know I'll always bring the pair of chairs

It calls me when
I need to find a shore to rest
Like bowed flowers by the water
I'll be there, swaying at our pace
